Ive had the idea for this map for quite a while,
but the way it turned out to be was a bit different
than I had planned. Originally the map was meant
to be set in a pumphouse with all sorts of pipes
and tanks that would provide cover and a cool
theme for the map. But after having made some
of the tanks and pipes i realized that I would
either have to make the map even smaller (which
i wasnt going to do) or do something differently.
So i changed the area where there used to be fuel
tanks and pipes to a place where crates and containers
could be placed, and then thereby made it a warehouse.
This was a pretty wise decision, since the r_speeds
ended up being quite well balanced with this replacement.
The
visually dominant sunbeams that shine through
the windows was the first thing I did on the map.
Usually Im a bit against sunbeams (because ive
overused them in other maps), but in this map
Iwanted to make the map feel all dusty, and the
sunbeams made this work pretty well.
The map was done in around 2 days, with some later
adjustments to the gameplay.
