The Phantom Halo Menace?

So, the other day I decided to watch The Phantom Menace (I still have no idea why :D ). Anyway, watching it I still had a fair amount of Halo’ness on my mind after playing it a week or so ago, and then the similarities suddenly struck me. Droid tanks, Gungan shields and those big blue balls (!), they all looked incredibly similar to the Covenant weapons in Halo. I expected there to be loads of sites comparing these things on the net, but when I searched I came up with nothing. So I figured it was about time someone did it, with the power of the internet! (All those pictures are hand grabbed by me by the way :D ).

Evidence #1: Droid tank - Covenant Wraith

Evidence #2: Gungan shields - Jackal shields

Evidence #3: Uh, Gungan balls - Plasma Grenades

But obviously I should state that I’m not thinking bad about anyone if they were very much inspired by others in this fashion. Well, now that I think of then I do think its pretty bad to be inspired by Phantom Menace ;) .

Halo was before phantom menace .. so maybe it was copied the other way around?

Halo was released in 2001, Phantom Menace was in cinemas in 1999. I mean they might very well have had lots of their concepts done before the movie, thats been seen before similar ideas emerging at the same time, but with 2 years between then I’d say theres a bigger possibility of them being inspired by it rather than it happening at random.

    Furious Styles on Youtube

There are five male teachers in the elementaryat school I teach at. All dressed differently than you’d expect an school teacher to dress. One dons baggy, hip-hop style clothing and looks like Kevin Federline.
